The 3500/20-01-02-00 Rack Interface Module (RIM) serves as the primary communication interface for the 3500 rack. It utilizes a proprietary protocol to configure the rack and retrieve machinery data. The RIM must be installed in slot 1 of the rack, adjacent to the power supplies, to function properly.
